Minerals
These are inorganic and therefore not easily destroyed. Minerals are found in the soil and are absorbed by plants, which are eaten by animals and ourselves - this is how we find minerals in our diet. Bones are the biggest storage area for minerals.
The role of minerals is for building and regulatory. As long as you eat a balanced diet you will get the right mineral requirement, the exception will be vegetarians who may not get enough iron, which is found in red meats.
