Food Cravings

Food cravings are the bane of all dieters lives! On a strict diet we suddenly become conscious of all the sweet things that we aren't allowed and then crave them. The best way to avoid food cravings is to ensure that you diet sensibly and incorporate a treat in your daily calorie intake so that you are not tempted to binge.

As part of a healthy weight loss programme no foods are banned it is just important to eat them in moderation to prevent you over indulging. It is very important not to skip meals as you will find that your blood sugar level drops and produces cravings for sweet foods. If your response to this is sugary food then you may produce an excess of insulin, your blood sugar level will drop and you may crave more sugary foods further.

To avoid food cravings. monitor calories, eat little and often and choose foods with a low glycemic index.
