Low Impact Aerobics

Low Impact Aerobics is a very popular exercise class that can help you, burn fat and build aerobic strength. Aerobics of any sort will require some basic coordination, is a fun way to exercise and can be very motivational.

A Low Impact Aerobics class usually features a warm up followed by 20-40 minutes of a high impact aerobic workout (the duration will depending on the level of class). The main aim is to raise the heart rate without resorting to any high impact exercises. This puts less strain on the joints. A warm down session will follow this and body conditioning exercises (for example some abdominal work) is often included towards the end of the session.

Low Impact Aerobics classes are available from many local gyms and sports centres. Shorts, T-shirt or vest are suitable to wear as you need to keep cool and trainers should have enough support.
